RECENT EVENTS

2023 is off and running, and over the last few weeks I have been getting situated for an exciting year.

This included volunteering at Booker T. Washington High School and Lake Taylor High School (Norfolk, VA) where I have been sharing messages to help those scholar athletes be better prepared to excel as adults. I also facilitated a Leadership Panel, sponsored by the Hampton Roads Chapter of the ROCKS, Inc., at Elizabeth City State University. All of these events help "plant seeds" in our youth who we will see emerge as leaders in the years to come.

I continue to host Parent Night sessions at the Polaris Village Academy in Easton, MD as part of a year-long program to best equip those young parents to best raise their children. Additionally, the second in a three-part Parent Education series hosted by Care For Me Youth Initiatives was held on January 28th where we talked about Parental Approaches and how that affects the home environment.

LIFE ALIGNMENT

Last month we left off with the first sub-line under Expectations -- which is Aspirations, and those are only limited by your imagination of a "heaven on earth."

From there you need to identify Goals. These are time-factored and should be measurable once achieved. Many people set goals, and there is nothing special about goals in this context. In addition to goals, you need to identify what you want to do, when you want to do those things and prioritize them at a given time. Theses prioritized goals, with respective Milestones, effectively define your plan.

The compilation of Aspirations, Goals and the components of your Plan (priorities and milestones) set your imaginative and practical Expectations. This also sets the far point for your framework.
