Youth Development League - YDL (U17/U20)

Make friends Be Part Of The TEAM

In this League Newport Harriers combine with Rhymney Valley and Blaenau Gwent to compete as Team Gwent, and are in Midland South/West 1 Division. There are 3 matches after which the top 3 teams in our division enter a promotion match against the bottom 3 teams of Midland Premier Division. The top three teams in the promotion match enter Premier Division for the following season.

Team Gwent's progress to the promotion match is more or less guaranteed. We currently lie 2nd, and to fall out of the top 3 we would need to finish last and a team near the bottom would suddenly have to win the match by a huge margin.

Athletes should circle 29th July as this is the date of the promotion match, which takes place in Newport. Contact Darryn if you are available for this key match!

NEXT FIXTURE - SUNDAY 5TH AUGUST, REDDITCH AND BROMSGROVE @ SOLIHULL

Thank you to those athletes that have made themselves available for the first three fixtures. We've had three incredibly hot matches but the support and commitment shown by you all has been very high.

After three fixtures we are currently provisionally 5th in the table, just out of the relegation area but we need to pull out all the stops in the last fixture of the season to ensure we don't go down!!

If you could please let me know your availability and preferred events by Friday 27th July.

HOUR CLUB NEWPORT HARRIERS

Join Hour Club Newport Harriers....

Thanks to those that have joined already. We still have places left so don't be shy!

Can you spare just 1 hour to volunteer for your club in 2018.  We have over 500 members so imagine if we all just gave 1 hour of our time to help.

Whether you are a member or parent please pledge here and offer your time to help support our great club. We do have a great team of volunteers however they are a dedicated team and small in number if big in heart.

Think what we could do with an extra 500 volunteer hours.  Don't worry we won't ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with and we will always support new volunteers so why not pledge your gift of time and email us your details.

We will contact you and keep you on our list of volunteers and let you know as and when we have opportunities that need filling and you can let us know if you are available
