Dear Spreading Your Wings family,

Thank you for your continued support!

I’m writing to update you all on the comic’s ongoing progress. We are in our last phase of finishing the English version of Spreading Your Wings, with all 115 pages of illustrations completed! At the top of this message I'm thrilled to include the English cover and back cover.

Our wonderful feminist Delhi-based publisher and I have gone through line-by-line and now our illustrator, Pia, is making the final edits. We are committed to getting this resource just right and now anticipate printing the English comic at the start of the new year. Once the English version is finalized, the Hindi translation will be proofread and finalzied to ensure accuracy and accessibility. We anticipate printing the Hindi comic in February 2018.

Lastly, I wanted to share that I moved to Delhi a few weeks ago in order to work with the Spreading Your Wings team in person and begin a new job. Once the comic is published our work will continue! So we have already begun preparations for the next phase — meeting with NGOs and government schools to spread awareness of the book and partnering with organizations to plan a period pride book launch event come 2018. I’m delighted to now be physically present so I may collaborate with organizations across India to incorporate Spreading Your Wings into their work.
