Happy Monday! Happy (almost) Full Moon! It seems like July really flew by and August doesn't show any signs of a slow down. I really hope you all are doing well and enjoying the summer! I know not everyone is a big lover of hot weather and full sun but I don't want it to end any time soon, that's for sure! |

Woohoo, we have walls! Finally got the budgeting approved from the ArtsBuild for two moving walls for the new shared studio space. Blake and I got them up with ease and a side of fun :) So thankful for his help and that he was able to read my design plans/knew how to execute them. I think we make a good team! |

Since we have two of them, they can wheel together to form a right angle for a small enclosed space, be used as a room divider, or to be in the center of the space to be used in more of a gallery/exhibition display. It is my thought that we three would each have a wall to hang things as we wish and the fourth side would be for any group or arts/climate work we do together. So excited to invite you all soon (we are thinking September but will let you know next month!) |

So some of you that follow me on Instagram might have seen where this month I was punished by the algorithm for the 'study of andrea' torso. If you didn't see my post it is probably because Instagram thinks my profile has sensitive content and isn't shown to you because of your settings. This has been such a pain because I tried to appeal the decision that the torso was deemed 'sexual content' but unfortunately, the appeal was denied. I am not sure if I should just start a new account again or keep trying. If anyone has any expertise in that field, please advise! In the meantime, expect more censored images on social media...might have to start adding flowers or leaves just to have fun with it? On my website and emails is where you will be able to find all the content. |

**FUN FACT(s)** The 'peacock orchid' is a member of the Gladiolus family and gladiolus means small sword in Latin giving a description of the sharp pointed leaves this plant family is known for. ***Also, I was able to capture the blossoming of one of these blooms via timelapse. I felt like as I was drawing, I was watching one open....so glad I captured it!! I posted it on instagram...here's a link to watch it :) (which I think you can do without having the app) |

July brought on another big round of wedding planning, appointments, and a little bachelorette fun. I can definitely say all aspects of life are buzzing away and it is very exciting! I did finally harvest my first bell pepper but really just to sacrifice it to the garden pests. It had already had some bites taken out of it right when it turned purple...but the second one is well on its way to being done! Next up to ripen are the roma tomatoes. (still can't believe I am growing those from seed-my papa would be proud) |

My sister took me to Restoration Hardware for the first time ever and I cannot believe I have never been in! It was such a beautiful showroom, almost museum-like, and honestly was a big dose of inspiration. Highly recommend grabbing a glass of bubbles and making your way through the floors. Almost left a few business cards behind (lol) |

So for July, my recipe for the month is whatever looks and smells the most fresh at your local produce stand//farmer's market. So many good flavors to choose from right now! Honestly, if you haven't had a BLT yet this season, please have one!!! I am huge fan of adding some mayo, dash of fresh pepper, a few leaves of fresh basil and a few leaves of arugula. Leaving a link to my Pinterest though because of the years I've curated a nice catalog of good eats! (photo from the local Crabtree farms where the ArtsBuild had a tour this past week) |
