Onward to the Next 75 years

Connect with us as we start a new chapter

As the theatre turns a page having just celebrated our 75th Anniversary, we look forward to the future.  This season we strive to go to what the core of what theatre is all about - building community, innovation, and performance art.  We will be offering and creating theatre in new ways.  Check out our website for more information.

Message from the Theatre President

What a year it has been! Having reflected on the ups and downs we have all experienced this past year, the reasons we love coming together to experience live theatre couldn't be clearer. The Richland Players were founded during hard times in 1944, by individuals and families working in support of the Manhattan project during WWII and supporting our area. Our organization was a vital artistic and community outlet for the people of our area to escape daily stresses that came with living in a secret area. The connections and artistic outlet that come from community theatre are needed now more than ever. Though our physical theatre remains dark, the fire to create and connect does not. We are re-imagining how we create art and going to the root of what is important to us – you, our volunteers and patrons, innovation, and expression. All artistic content we create for the foreseeable future will remain free of charge because we are committed to serving you and our community first. Our hearts are with you and we look forward to the day we can experience live theatre together again. Please consider supporting us so we can keep the magic of theatre alive as we dream for the future.
