Happy HAL-0-een everyone!

Yes, its’ that time when we decorate our yards with all sorts of crazy enchanting things and try to “out do” last year’s display, making fun costumes for yourself your kids and your pets, and having lots of outrageous parties. Then there is the "hyperactivity" phase when the kids (and their parents) get overdosed on sugar & chocolate!  

During all these “fun fests” take a few minutes to remember what this time “Samhain” is all about.  Oct. 31st-Nov. 1st and Nov 2nd are the days (and nights) that the veils between dimensions are the thinnest and therefore the easiest to communicate with our loved ones (including pets) that have crossed over!  I think it is more than interesting and completely “bass ackwords” for us here in the US to honor our dead 6 months before the REAL day we “should” be honoring and connecting to our deceased loved ones, and I know that there are a gaggle of “no good” reasons for that. If you sit and really think about it, I’m sure you will be able to identify some of these "no good" reasons!

On another note, here is a fun idea! If you are having a Party, why not make it a REAL HAL-0-ween party and do something Magickal by turning it into a "Hal Inspired Humor Party!" (For more information, see the details below with a duplicate of this Party Package Picture.)

On the home front, I have had an “overabundance” of computer issues that have been going on for over a month now.  First my outlook quit working and I could only see e-mails but not replay to them – same with all of MS office like Word Docs.  I would try to find “work arounds” for it, while looking to find someone to help me fix it.  I finally found a techie in the closest town to me, and realized I needed a new hard drive AND a new MS office.  I had used up ¾ of my 1 TB Hard Drive and bought a new one that was 2 TB – but it would take 4 days to get here (over the weekend) so I had to keep limping along till Monday when he could install it – well, none of my e-mail accounts got transferred and it took half a day to get all the pass codes and new install data correct, BUT then discovered that NONE of my e-mail folders transferred….not even when we tried to reload from the old hard drive.  I had a "mini melt down” – over a decade of business and client emails lost.   Then I smacked myself and said, “well, just think, there was a ton of folders that you always had to wade through. You have constantly had "cleaning out and organizing the files" on your "to do list" and they still just kept stacking up. It was all just weighting you down, so this tragic event might actually have some good elements to it! :o)

Right now, I’m going through the over 4,000 e-mail that were in my “inbox” and starting over. (Oddly enough, somehow those old e-mails got through!) Another challenge is that all my pass codes got erased too on all my accounts and many of them, even when I try to change the pass codes, things got funky and I never receive the e-mail with the new security codes…and yes I checked my spam folder hahaaaha.  It has been “freaking frustration filled funk fest” but I am slowly getting things to a “new and improved” state.  I’m telling you this so that if you wrote to me, and think I’m ignoring you because I didn’t write back yet, hahaaa now you know that is NOT the case!  All I can say now is “Onward and Forward!”
