Topic 1 of 7: Energy from a like-minded community |
There is a well-known nonscientific trope that goes "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." Surely an oversimplification, but with an underlying truth. Case in point, during the isolation of the covid lockdown, I decided that once the lockdown lifted I would seek a community of people who have a collective adventure mindset. Now, as a member of such a community, I am inspired each day by people who pursue curiosity, growth, and self discovery. Because of proximity, I now feel energized and ready to explore new horizons. Good place to be. Check out our previous newsletters. |

We will meet at 6655 Delmar Blvd, University City, MO 63130. The goal is to share ideas and approaches. Bring your prefered beverage. After the book discussion, we plan go to a Delmar loop restaurant for a bite. It is not necessary to have read the book to participate. For those interested in a summary, we provide a video summary |

Topic 3 of 7: Hiking / Rucking trek in Forest Park |
Forest Park - Saturday June 17th: 9 AM CT Info and RSVP Join us for a hike/ruck trek. Rucking is hiking with a weighted backpack. Many find that rucking is better that walking/hiking for gaining fitness. And, compared to jogging/running, there is a reduced risk of injury. It is a great way to get in shape for your hiking adventures this summer. You start with light weights and build up as you gain fitness. See Dr Peter Attia's discussion on the benefit of rucking. Looking down the road (no pun intended) we plan to have a rucking event in the STL area this fall. Plans include a family picnic and all sorts of random fun. Details to come. |

Rainier summit, hiking in India, hiking in Sedona, skiing all over the US, several half marathons, year-round competitive soccer leagues and tournaments. This year plans include England in May and 4x4 off-road dispersed camping. See our photo gallery for other MAC member adventures. |
