The recently released 'Global Employment Trends for Youth 2022' report presents an important observation about how youth in the age group of 15-24 years old experienced much higher unemployment when compared to those above 25. Youth in India Report 2022

 

The report released by MoSPI shows that population share of youth is expected to decline and share of elderly is expected to increase during 2021 - 2036. The steepest decline is expected to be in northeast states and J&K. The report recommends adopting active labor market policies for job creation and expansion of manufacturing.

Poverty & Shared Prosperity 2022

 

The report published by World Bank describes how the world entered the COVID-19 crisis that was already in a weak position. The target was already slipping out of reach, and extreme poverty reduction progressed more slowly between 2014 and 2019 than previously. By 2030, the poverty rate is expected to be 7 percent. There is an urgent need to correct course
