WATERCOLOURS WEEK 1

Check out what you will need for first week's class

Term 4 2018

Welcome to my watercolour classes!

As the classes are about to start, I thought I would let you know about what to bring with you and the venue.

The classes are held at New Farm State School in the Art Room (James St & Heal St, New Farm, Qld 4005) . You can use the entrance gate located in Hawthorne St - it is the first gate from Annie St. Once you come in through the gate, walk on straight until you will see the Art Room on your right. (From the gate, you will need to go as far as the other side of the school grounds - James St side.

Parking is on-street. There is no parking on the school grounds.

See you next week.  Magda

A good quality paper

Paper, like brushes, is the foundation to the successful watercolour painting. Watercolour paper is specially made for use with watercolours. The paper is sized which prevents water from soaking into the paper. Poor quality papers will absorb water rapidly and buckle.

Where do I get my materials from?

All of the required items can be obtained from an art shop such as

Art Shed, Oxlades, Eckersley's etc.

But don’t worry, in case you are unable to bring it with you to your first class, I will have the materials available to borrow.
