MASC SEEKS NEW PART-TIME EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC) seeks to hire a dynamic Executive Director to provide visionary organizational leadership and direct operational support. This role will shape our organization’s programming, operations, and strategic planning. The MASC Executive Director is a part-time (expectation is 15-20 hours a week) contractual role serving a one-year term, that can be adjusted and/or renewed each subsequent term, pending both parties are in agreement. |

Maryland Student Representative to the National Student Council (NSC) Deadline July 31, 2024 The National Student Council (NSC) is an assembly of elected and appointed student leaders across the United States. The one-year term on NSC will include representation from 25 states. This position is filled via appointment by each state’s student council association. It advocates for students’ voices at the federal level, ensuring that their diverse perspectives and interests are integral to discussions surrounding education, schools, educators, and their futures. |

If your school is a current member of the National Association of Student Councils (NASC) and will commit to joining NASC for 2024-2025, you may be eligible to apply. Maryland must submit two candidates (rising junior or senior) as our State Representative. The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) panel will select one of the two candidates to serve for one year. Click on the graphic above for full details and the application. Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): These programs provide grants, work-study, and loan funds to students attending college or career school. The Maryland Higher Education Commission has extended the state deadline to submit the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to June 1, 2024. While students will have until June 1st to file and qualify for Maryland scholarships, they needed to submit their FAFSA by March 1, 2024, if they wanted to be notified of their eligibility on April 15, 2024. |
