I am proud to announce that Archbishop Gustavo chose to recognize Patrick Tejeda with the Lumen Gentium award on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord this month. The Lumen Gentium Award is bestowed by the Archbishop upon Catholic lay people who have demonstrated participation in the Catholic Church’s mission to bring Christ’s light to all. Patrick joins Michelle Reynolds, Rita and John Sanchez, and Lucy and Abel Padilla in our Parish Lumen Gentium Hall of Extraordinary Service. Patrick Tejeda is a founding member of our Pastoral Council, where he offers valuable insight and organizational support. He also assisted as the first Grand Knight in the founding of our parish council of the Knights of Columbus where he helped create a culture of strong communication and support, allowing these brothers to become even more integrated in the life of our parish. With his wife Stacey, Patrick is involved in the pastoral initiatives of our parish. He is always ready to roll up his sleeves and work, and he excels especially in his leadership that helps others to do the same. On Sunday, you will find Patrick at multiple Masses, organizing our liturgical ministers and finding jobs for our many altar servers. He always welcomes new help and is training his replacements as Masters of Ceremonies. He coordinates our High School catechesis and youth ministry, preparing our young people for Confirmation. Patrick understands that ministry must lead to mission, and as a leader in our efforts to help our homeless neighbors, he is one of our most effective ambassadors to these parishioners. |

End of Year Letter and Financial Report We have mailed the end of year letters to all parishioners who gave online, by check, or with an envelope. Thank you all for your generosity! |

HOMELESS CORNER The homeless enjoyed the medical kits a few of you donated, but it was not enough for the entire homeless population. If anyone else would like to donate one, it would help them stay healthy. For Food, if you want to donate a meal (Canned Meat, Canned Fruit, Canned Vegetables, and a Drink), they have been a real hit with any of the homeless who have gotten them. The pantry has room on the shelves, and is being well used. The support the parish has given to the homeless has been outstanding, and they really appreciate it. - Jake Greene |

Holy Communion to the Homebound One of the more beautiful ministries of our parish is bringing Holy Communion to the sick. One of my more difficult tasks is identifying those who need Communion brought to them. If you need a bit of help, or have a neighbor who does (after talking to her or him), please sign up below: |

If you have suggestions or questions about the preliminary site plan, I want to know! Email, call, come talk to me after Mass. |
