New Planet Primary School

Three P7 Graduates

Need Sponsors

January 2024 will mark the beginning of Broken Clay Ministries' ninth year of providing two nutritious meals each school day to the students at New Planet Primary School founded in 2009 by Pastor David and Petronilla Turyatemba. With a desire to help children lost in the cycle of poverty by providing an opportunity to succeed, Tuyatemba’s vision became a reality. Located adjacent to one of the largest slums in Kampala, the school is providing an excellent learning environment with dedicated teachers.

Uganda is ranked as one of the poorest countries in the world. With limited opportunities the daily grind of slum dwellers is focused on providing the bare minimal essentials of shelter and food. Most children have one guardian or parent struggling to provide rendering paying school fees for children to attend high school an out of reach expense. This has grieved BCM as students fall short of acquiring an education that has the potential of greatly improving their quality of life.

During our 2023 Ugandan outreach, by the grace of God, we connected with

an excellent organization that has a remarkably successful Christian primary and high school boarding program. We have selected three of

New Planet's most excellent students to

attend. The opportunity for these precious children is unlimited. We are turning to you, our faithful donors, to sponsor one of these exceptional students.

The cost per student is $80 per month.

Immersed in an excellent Christian environment dedicated to building the lives of the future leaders of Uganda, this opportunity will provide each student with room and board, an excellent education, meals, their social needs will be provided for, and above all their God-given talents and abilities will be developed launching them into

a life free of the strangling effects of poverty.

They will have opportunity to continue their education to the university level.

Together we can make a difference!

Patrick Ochwo

Patrick Ochwo is fourteen-year-old boy attending New Planet Primary School, he is the first born of four siblings, he lives with his father in one room house.

with four siblings in a slum dwelling.

His father sells old electric appliances in the Wabigalo Slum located in Kampala, Uganda, as a source of income. He works hard to provide basic needs for his family rendering it impossible to pay school fees for these children.

Patrick is a good student, of good character who dreams of

finishing high school and continuing to college.

We belief this is his opportunity to break the cycle of poverty into which he was born.

Peace Nabumati

Peace Nabumati is a fourteen-year-old student at New Planet Primary School. I live with my mother she is a single mother; we are five children. My Mother sells food along the streets of Kampala as a source of livelihood and her income can’t sustain us. At home we have one meal a day as she has no capacity to feed us to meet our basic needs.

I have hope for a better future and pray that God will help me find a sponsor to give me.

this opportunity to have a better life.

Gift Akello

As a fourteen-year-old girl, Gift Akello has dreams of a better future. She is full of joy and potential. The administrators and teachers of New Planet Primary School encourage her dreams. Her mother is a single parent who vends food along the roadside in the slums of Kampala as a source of income, always.

falling short of the needful support of her children.

This precious family struggles in ways we have never faced. Like all parents, they pray and hope for a better life for their children.

Proverbs 19:17
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,
and He will reward them for what they have done.

We know the Lord will touch the hearts of those who will step up to make

the dreams of these children. This is a great opportunity to teach your children to care for the less fortunate by "adopting" Patrick, Gift or Peace.

An account will be set up and you will have opportunity to communicate with your child, encourage them and rejoice in their victories.
