Educate, Elevate, Empower Project
 
COMPASS is pleased to share project news!
 
In partnership with Gov NL and the Government of Canada, COMPASS is launching a new project to provide guidance to students interested in working in the marine sector.
 
This project will:
 
connect and collaborate with other key associations to explore potential opportunities
identify ambassadors and champions within the industry as mentors
develop design and launch an on-line tool kit
develop a career matching program
facilitate an 8 week training placement
develop a social media campaign to promote awareness of careers in the sector
evaluate the project for lessons learned and best practices to share

COMPASS, in partnership with ACOA and Gov NL is launching a new project to provide career exploration for students in NL.
This new all-digital career exploration series will connect students via live ship-to-shore livestreaming events with working professionals in the marine sector onboard vessels offshore. Special online educational modules such as The Business of Shipping, High Tech on the High Seas and Green Jobs in the Blue Economy will provide teachers with resources to engage their students.  We will complete the project with a learning forum in St John's in 2024.
