Kristine Brown-Caliger, JT Stark and Tracey Oliver named new members of the TMT Board of Directors

Kristine Brown Caliger is proud to have been raised and educated in northern Nevada, and takes even more pride in doing her part to ensure a new generation will be able to say the same.
After earning a B.A. in Music at the University of Nevada, Kristine began her career in communications, digital media, and graphic design, working with several area non-profits.
Kristine’s trajectory changed when she was hired at News 4-Fox 11 in 2013. She eventually became the station’s first Managing Editor, overseeing newsroom, editorial, and digital operations. Kristine’s leadership guided the station’s work during several election cycles, community triumphs and tragedies, and natural disasters. But the goal was always singular, though times and circumstances differed: advocating for the community, and keeping people informed.
Kristine now serves as the Vice President of Partnerships and Programs at the Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce, where the goal remains much the same. She advocates for and informs the business community of policies that impact them, creates ongoing educational opportunities for members, and unifies members and partners in the spirit of good business citizenship and generosity. She believes this is what serves as True North in good times and challenging ones.
In addition to her work with the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce, Kristine serves on non-profit boards and volunteers her time to community projects. These volunteer activities include:

Education Alliance - Board of Directors Secretary and member of the Marketing, Special Projects and Strategic Planning committees
Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority - Community Outreach Committee member

JT Stark is a native northern Nevadan, community advocate and self-proclaimed "data nerd".
JT received his Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Nevada, Reno and earned a Dual-Master’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Colorado State University. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Education at the University of Nevada,
Reno with an emphasis on technology and machine learning.
While earning his bachelor’s and Master’s degrees he worked in the tech industry full-time for ten years (2004-2014) in many roles with a primary focus and specialties in project management and data analytics. During his time in the tech industry, he learned a lot about the industry and experienced a lot of change in his personal life by way of earning two degree’s and having two beautiful daughters with his wife.
In 2014, JT adjusted his focus from the tech industry to local efforts and decided to work for children in our K-12 public school system in Reno, NV and focus on Data Analytics. JT says that "Working for the school district is incredibly rewarding and has allowed me to play a role aimed at improving our public school system district-wide by helping teachers and principals better teach and support our children through the use of data analytics and data-decision making".
During his time with the school district, he also began teaching in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno (2015-present day) and that has ignited a passion in him for teaching and led him to pursue a Ph.D. so he can stay connected to students and the field for the foreseeable future.
Tracey Oliver is a native Nevadan and is eager to join the Board of Directors of Truckee Meadows Tomorrow in January of 2023. She believes that the creative industry in Nevada could better showcase its importance to our· community as an economic and social driver if data collection was fully utilized. Data collection and sharing that data eliminates the doubt as to the importance of arts and culture in our community.
Tracey first came to her work at the Sierra Arts Foundation the summer of 2015 cataloging Sierra Arts art collection as a volunteer.
After deciding to leave her career in the airline industry to study art, Oliver received her associate’s degree in Fine Arts from Truckee Meadows Community College. She moved up in the Sierra Arts organization quickly becoming the Business and Special Events Associate.
“I’m a fourth generation Nevadan, and I’m very proud of our community and what the arts contribute to our region,” Oliver said. “I’m passionate about our commitment to teach, support and nurture our hard-working local artists.”
