August 2020 Racing Recap

We had the pleasure of timing an in-person race for the second month in a row.  The Devil's Den 10 Miler went off without a hitch on the morning of August 16.  Overnight rains brought a nice cool touch to this traditionally hot event.  The runners definitely took advantage of the better weather as both the men's and women's course records were shattered.  Click on the link for the FULL RESULTS.  One of the great things about posting the results to Athlinks is all of the historical data.  They have all the results for the "FARC 10 Mile" all the way back to 1998.  It is pretty fun to look back and see a bunch of familiar names on the list.

Stafford Hospital Cabin Fever 5K & Kids 1/2 Mile

This was one of the first races to be affected by COVID back in the Spring.  It was rescheduled and is currently happening as a virtual race this weekend.  You have until 11:59 pm on Sunday August 30 to register and submit your results.  They are offering use of the RaceJoy App for an enhanced virtual race experience.  We can already see it is getting a lot of use.  Try it out if you're running!

The Cabin Fever 5K is also the first race this year in the Stafford Race Series.  This is the FINAL CALL if you want to be eligible for the series finisher gift and series awards - you need to run Cabin Fever this weekend and submit your results!  There's a long course series for ages 13+ and a short course series for ages 12 and under.
