YCL Celebrates National Friends of Libraries Week |
October 20–26 is National Friends of Libraries Week, a special time to thank our Friends of the Library for their year-round dedication and the differences they make. Since 1975, these community vounteers have generously donated time to advocate for the library and assist at book sales, membership drives, and other activities. The funds they raise from these efforts and from their bookstore, Friends Books on Main, help support new books for our shelves, our popular Summer Learning Challenge, Patchwork Tales Storytelling Festival, Genealogy and Local History Expo, and so much more. Visit yclibraryfriends.org to learn more and to join the Friends now. You'll make friends of your own, give back to our community, and make our library even better! Already a member? Join the celebration! Spread the word on social media, and visit Friends Books on Main for thousands of donated books, DVDs, audiobooks, and CDs at great prices. |

We'd especially like to recognize the Friends of the York County Library, whose generous support helps make Patchwork Tales possible. If you attended the festival, we would love to hear from you! |
