Bad-girl Jessica Watts returns on August 15 in El Diablo, the sequel to Tequila Midnight. Readers asked for a follow-up to the first novel and it's taken me just over a year to get it to you. Like the first novel, this one is set on the US/Mexico border. This time, much of the action takes place in the wild desert outside of El Paso. It wasn't easy to write a sequel. The book needed to connect to the original story, but also stand on its own for those who read it first. Fortunately, I had some great editors and critique partners help me tie it to the first novel and keep it fresh. I think it's my most suspenseful novel yet, and Jessica has quite a mystery to solve. |
