“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 2:11

From the Director's Desk

Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think. I am humbled every time God shows up and provides for a need we have at Esther's Place! The miracle of providing a generous donor who purchased a house for our use is something I never dreamed possible. The people of God consistently support the work of God in our community.

Please pray that we can reach more women in need through our housing program and that women's hearts will be open to the hope that we have been given in our faith. Merry Christmas!

"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people..." Ephesians 1:18 (NIV)

"All Things New" Banquet Fundraiser makes Lively Debut!

Esther's Place held its first fundraising banquet on Sunday Evening, November 6, 2022. The Newark "Lookup Center" graciously lent us their facility for the venue and the banquet was held in the Center's gymnasium. The evening featured news and highlights from Esther's Place of Grace in the first fifteen months of operation. Benchmarks in the lives of former and current residents were highlighted and celebrated. God's provision in the Summer 2022 of a new home to operate out of was a highlight of the banquet. We were blessed by the outpouring of helping hands and giving hearts - the community momentum was evident.

Serving the meal was handled by the students of Granville Christian Academy's Honor Society. The staff, board and volunteers of Esther's Place worked overtime to make this event a success. Special mention goes to the DeLong family for their dedication and sponsorship of the event. Ashley, Tommy & daughter, Julia, Gogolin beautifully decorated the banquet tables and helped with kitchen duty. Many folks from Cornerstone Church, Impact City of Pataskala, Living Hope Church of Pataskala, and Jacksontown Grace Brethren Church as well as a crew from Pittsburgh, PA, came out to celebrate with us. We had speakers from New Song Community Church of Reynoldsburg as well. Esther's Place of Grace realized $16,812 and added 7 new monthly supporters to our Partners in Grace program. Thank you, thank you to everyone who made this evening beautiful and memorable.

God Bless Us Every One!

Thank you so much to the wonderful folks at Second Baptist Church of Newark, Ohio who hosted a Christmas luncheon on Friday, December 16th for Esther's Place. Here, Mary Dow was able to present our slideshow and share an overview of Esther's Place of Grace. This church has supported our home in the past, and today even shared the fruits of their Christmas "Baby-Tree" and table adorned with beautiful new baby clothing and supplies! Thank you Rev. Davidson and Miller and the folks from The Second Baptist Church of Newark for giving so generously and hosting this lovely and lively time of sharing.
