One KBR'S BIGEST ACOUMPLISHMENT of 2023 |
Kay Blada Recycling was able to launch the first edition of its annual summer camp this year. This was a project that we've been wanting to do many years, and we finally were able to put it into implimentation. We are really proud and grateful about that! And with your support, this project will continue every summer to provide a space and resources for the youth/kids to learn make arts and crafts with the plastic trash. |

A successful 8th anniversary celebration |
This year, we've had very few adults, yet a lot more kids attended the annual event than last year. We provided lots of food, music, and many performances. Also a couple of special guests, such as Lakou Kajou, and Riela Mizik. We are super honored to collaborate those two guests this year. |

Meet some of our most productive street plastic collectors. Help us thank them so much for their work! |
Rosena is a productive plastic collector. She is a mother of an son, and the must hard working person among the street plastic collectors community. Rosena is very good collector, because she shows a lot interest in the work. Her materiel is always well prepared which makes it easier for the pickup crew. |
Mizou is one of our easiest collectors to work with because of her character, her consistency and volume of collected plastic. Mizou is a grand-Mother, and all of grand kids lives with her. She works super hard to feed her grand-kids, and to pay for their school material and uniforms |

Our staff in Haiti are a key part of our operation. They keep the program running smoothly and efficiently, interact with daily plastic collectors, and administer our education programs. |
Looking back In addition to their generous donations, check out some of their kind, motivating, and encouraging words during the past years that have helped us continue this impactful initiative. |
Here are the three most common, yet most effective ways you can support Kay Blada Recycling's work in Haiti during this year. |
| | To continue to fund the work that we do, Kay Blada Recycling has introduced a plastic credit program. By purchasing a plastic credit, you can help reduce your impact on the environment and provide dignified jobs in the process. | | |
| | KBR is searching for corporate sponsors to help fund our environmental education and plastic recycling collection programs. KBR can provide space on our t-shirts, signage, and social media marketing in gratitude. | | |
The KBR recycling facility currently operates using a small plastic baler, and because of the non-standard size of our bales we can only sell our plastic to a local Haitian recycling center. Expanding operations, most importantly investing in a larger plastic baler and the infrastructure to support it, will allow KBR to sell plastic on the international market at a higher price than we currently receive. |
