SC Arts Commission - School Arts Support Grant Applications are open for teachers and staff in South Carolina for the 2023-24 school year. Program proposals could include music therapy based groups for K-12 students' social & emotional learning or professional development workshops. E-Books: PMT offers over a dozen of color-coded songbooks for purchase online. These resources could help music therapists, educators or musicians. The genres are paired with either desk and hand bell or Boomwhacker color palettes. |

Group Series: Enrollment is still open for a group program of approximately 8 - 12 year old children. Two music therapists will facilitate this 8-week series on Tuesday afternoons. The intake process is available here. |

Homeschooling Group: Children who are homeschooled are invited to join a peer-based music therapy group series this fall. Timing is 10am - 10:30am or 10:45 - 11:30am on Fridays at PMT Main. View program goals & costs here. |

Welcome MTI: Welcome to Nick Paredes, the new music therapy intern at PMT. He graduated from Appalachian State University and is accruing clinical hours for eligibility to take the national board exam through Certification Board for Music Therapists. Community Event 9/16/23: PMT will be one of the resource tables at "Out of the Darkness Walk" on Saturday, September 16 at 11:00am. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention SC Chapter will host the event at Cherry Park - Rock Hill, SC. |

Community Event 9/21/23: Arts At Queens is offering an upcoming presentation "Music and Mind with Renee Fleming" with a diverse panel on Thursday, September 21 at 5pm. The event will be held at The Gambrell Center for the Arts and Civic Engagement - Charlotte, NC. Tickets are free. |
