Dearest 🌏-lovers, This is embarrassing, isn't it? Landing back in your inboxes after a year and pretending like nothing's changed... Like a traveller returning home from a long odyssey, much has changed, in your lives and in ours. But just as the hermit crab embraces their new, bigger shell without hesitation, we know that change is the only constant and seasons must be met with hope and songs of silver linings. Instead of regaling our 12 month digression, let's jump right back into the good stuff. This newsletter is a Veg Kolhapuri of recent things we're loving - some exciting updates, some ferments, and some new skills. (And if digesting our digression details is your bag, visit our verbal and oral explanations.) We couldn't be happier to be back - in your inboxes, lives, kitchens and gardens. Expect monthly newsletters, daily grams, and the resurgence of structured learning opportunities.

Rise Up Kombucha's new look! We've built Rise Up lean. Using the permaculture principle of 'make slow and small changes' and vowing not to take on debt. A Frenchie farm volunteer designed our first label (anyone remember Lu's Sparkling Kombucha?!). Once landing with Rise Up, our dear friend Father Marker designed a label at a rate he would never share out-loud. Now 3 years in, Rise Up has a sturdy cult following and a reputation for being truly probiotic. It was time for our brand to grow up, so we hired the lovely Louise Brough to brand us in full.

Honey-fermented garlic 🧄🍯❤️ When two great things come together, there is an alchemy that greater than the sum of their parts. This easy ferment is a panacea for cold, cough and flu and works as an ally for the body overall - especially for boosting immunity.

When your hands remember I dreamt I was weaving baskets in a circle with other women. In dreamworld, I was aware that I had never learned, yet amazingly I knew exactly what to do. It was beautiful, and felt sacred. One afternoon class later, this is the first basket I've woven - it is wonky and too tight and imperfect. And I am sure that it's the next rabbit hole to dive into. Stay tuned :) |

Sourdough HACK Never had a crumpet? Me neither! Now, we are all hooked on this breakfast sourodugh hack that is SO much easier, faster, less messy and just as delish as sourdough bread. No oven needed! I never thought I'd say it, but take a brake from bread making and hit this recipe up.
