OCTOBER/NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER 

PRESENTATION NIGHT

Our presentation was held recently on 16 October at the Yacht Club. We celebrated the years achievements despite the year of COVID 19. Thank you to all that came along  - it was a great night.

It wrapped up what was a very unusual season - being shortened to 10 rounds, having COVID stipulations, and even zoom training sessions.  Credit to everyone for pulling together and making the season a success.

Thanks to Andrew for doing a great job as host with the most! and thanks also to Nick for taking the photos.  Nick has posted these on Facebook and they are now also uploaded onto our website in the form of a flipbook so you can see who won what!

FROM THE COMMITTEE/RUMs

• Our AGM is 30 November 2020 via Zoom.
• The committee submitted a recovery grant application to assist us new equipment and we were successful.  This is a substantial grant of $5000.00.  As part of the grant we had to submit a wish list of items the Association wanted to purchase.  So you should see these appear over 2021.
• Blue Card - There is now a new way of doing blue card applications.  More information and links here.  You must now have a card before you can be appointed. The Association now has its own online Blue Card portal.  If you have a card, we can now link you to AFLTUA via this portal. This linking now includes those with exemptions.
• The next Bunnings Sausage Sizzle is 12 December.  We will be looking for volunteers so if you are able to assist please let us know.
• Danielle Farmer has started back with AFLQ as the Townsville Operations.
