Zechariah 7:9-10 (NASB) 9 "Thus has the Lord of hosts said, 'Dispense true justice and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother; 10 and do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.' |

This months Focus: The Well Health Center |
| | Jacob's Well, the one in Tell Balatah, or Shechem as it was historically known, is the well in which Jesus asked for water and confronted the Samaritan woman. As they spoke, the woman suggested that no water was as good as the water from Jacob's Well because it was deep. The deeper the well, the fresher, and colder the water. Deep was good. Today, Jacob's Well is reported to only be about 75ft deep. Probably filled in by centuries of debri. However, the water is still good. Deeper is better! For the past 1.5 years, The Well Health Center has been working to deeply meet the medical needs of the people of Cactus TX. They've been doing a great job at it too! But one of the more pressing issues in the city is the lack of a close by, easily accessible physician for vaccinations. The school year 2019- 2020, for the Cactus Elementary School began with a significant number of children not starting on time because of this problem. This is a serious issue because a number of these children start school needing to learn english from scratch or at the very least, they don't speak, read or write it well. Starting on time, helps get them up to speed in order to continue and succeed, and, of course, immunizations are also important for the overall health of the child and adults alike!. The Well Health Center is so thankful to the Lord for His provision as we have been awarded a grant that is enabling us to open a vaccine clinic! The Well just got deeper! | | |
| | Along with the immunization issue in Cactus, prenatal care has also been limited. We are so grateful to CareNet Pregnancy Resource Center coming to Cactus on limited basis, but it isn't enough to meet the needs of the community as many pregnant women may not be getting the medical care they need. The Well Health Center will also be starting prenatal care! Of course this goes hand -in- hand with immunizations, but it goes beyond this care. Prenatal will provide the holistic care the women of Cactus need. Regular check ups, diagnosis, vitamins, and more. In the future, Dr. Steph would like to have an ultrasound machine in order to go even deeper in prenatal care. We are so excited for these new medical programs as they seriously provide more of the fresh and cool water the Cactus community needs. Join us in prayer for the Well Health Center and all of the staff as they endeavor to follow the heart of Jesus and make sure only the freshest, coolest water is provided through the gift of modern medicine. Pray also, as they seek to reveal the true Giver of Living Water to each patient, that salvation, transformation and new life in Jesus would be found by all! The Well is getting deeper! | | |

Even Deeper: Meet our Newest Staff! |
| | Carol comes to us from Dumas, TX. a town right down the road from Cactus. Carol has joined us as our resident RN and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to bring to the Well health Center. Most recently Carol worked as an ER nurse for the Dumas Hospital, but also has experience in immunizations and prenatal, which is just what the Dr. ordered, (pun intended) as her position in The Well, includes both. Carol will be working with Dr. Steph in starting up, administering immunizations and prenatal care as well as, being the main administrator for these new aspects of The Well. We are so excited have Carol on staff as she has expressed a desire to be involved in missional medicine and ministry. In her past position, she stated that she was called on to pray for the patient, the surgery or the situation frequently in the OR and she is quite thrilled that the routine for The Well is to build relationships with the patients not only through the medical care, but through prayer and spiritual, emotional care. It is evident that Carol cares deeply for people and desires to be part of holistic ministry that cares for the body, mind, and spirit. Welcome Carol! | | |

Covid-19 and CNMC Summer Activities |
These 3 ladies join us from Illinois and the Dominican Republic respectively. All three were or are students at Olivet Nazarene University. We want to Welcome from top left: Scarlin De La Cruz, Marissa Smith and Lauren McQuen. Lauren and Marissa are part of the University's Shalom project; a short term missions ministry. Since COVID-19, the plans for the summer have changed or at least are on hold until we know for certain the situation in Cactus, but despite that, all three ladies decided to come and minister any way they can. Look for more on these three as the summer progresses. |

We continue to pray for the people of Cactus as many work for JBS meat packing plant. As all are aware, these plants are hotspots for the COVID-19 virus because of the close quarters in which the employees work. However, this is the livelihood of so many and we are thankful that JBS has not had to stop operations yet. Please continue to pray as CNMC and The Well work to minister to those whom we know are sick and prepare for those who may contract the disease. We continue to receive masks ( a huge shoutout to those making masks for us) and hand them out as needed throughout the community. CNMC and The Well have partnered together to have COVID care kits ready and the Dumas Hospital delivers these kits through the Social Worker there. CNMC is open on the off days of the Well. We have been giving our food packages and masks as well as giving away over 12,000lbs of Tripe donated by JBS. Despite our limitations, God is still moving and working and we plan on ministering as long and as much as possible. | | |

Partnering with our neighbors to feed the community. |

| | Partnering with JBS Beef Packing Plant is a lot of fun, but also hard work! We were blessed once again to offer beef Tripe (to make Menudo); 12,000lbs of it! Fortunately we had the help of friends Lori, Justin, Joe and Jesse. Without them, we might still be loading the truck! In less than half an hour, it was gone! | | |
| | It is a blessing to hear the gratitude in people's voices as they say thank you and see the smile on their face as they take a couple of boxes home. While Tripe is not everyone's favorite, it is a big hit here in Cactus and we are thankful to be able to share of the abundance of JBS and the goodness of God. | | |

Please pray for CNMC and The Well Health Center as we seek to reveal the saving grace of Christ through the cross to the Community of Cactus through compassionate ministry. Pray the Lord gives us wisdom, and discernment to say only what we should say and do only what He calls us to do. Pray for financial stability: Because of Covid-19 we have gone from 17 ministry teams to 0 for the remainder of the year. Pray for wisdom as we endeavor to minister this summer to the children of Cactus safely and wisely. Pray for The Well Health Center as they go deeper into the medical ministry in Cactus. Pray for the new staff and summer interns as they come and minister in CNMC and The Well. Pray that the ministry here in Cactus is pleasing and glorifying to God in all things! Pray for continued health for CNMC and The Well Staff. |
