Time for another newsletter…….right before Christmas!
Since it is December, it is now safe for everyone to put up the Christmas tree whilst having a couple of cold beverages 😊. Our head brewer (Carl) took a flight to Canada recently, so it has been a couple of warm beverages from his end.
Although it is cold over there, he has been able to sample a few local beers in the mix. Talking about local beers, Carl has been able to visit a couple of breweries in Canada and was invited to do a brew with one of the breweries in Québec called Ras l’Bock. It was a great day brewing 1500 litres of Vienna Lager using malts grown in the region.
What is a Vienna lager you might ask? Well, it is a rather old style originating from….you guessed it, Vienna. You can expect an amber to copper beer with some clean, toasty/bready malt character, and sometimes with a low floral/spicy hop in the mix. The finish is somewhat dry and there is a good balance between the malt sweetness and the hop bitterness. When done right, it is a cracking beer style that’s for sure!
What's Brewing?
Now, let’s take a look at where we are at with our proposed Crimson Finch Head Quarters.
We are progressing well with our location but there is still some uncertainty. Everything that needed to be done from our end has been done, but the final decision rest in someone’s hands at the moment. We do hope that we will have a positive answer by Christmas or early next year at the very latest.
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to speed up the process, so we have to go with the flow and wait and see at this stage. As soon as we find out, we will make an announcement, that you can be sure of!

December can be hectic for most people so make sure that you take some time for yourselves and recharge for a solid start to 2023. We do hope that you will have a good rest of the year and that you will enjoy your Christmas period with people that you love.
