Hello Seeds of Life donors and friends.
Our crop of grain corn was planted on May 21 and is doing well, about one foot high on June 18 when the photo below was taken. The proceeds from the sale of this crop in the fall will be sent to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) to fund the food assistance and training programs of our overseas partners. Our three partners are the United Church of Canada, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, and the Salvation Army. We need to raise $400 per acre or $28,800 in total to grow and harvest this crop. As of June 26 we have $17,880 which is a great start ! We sincerely thank those of you who have donated to date.
We will need additional donations of $10,920 to reach our target. You may sponsor all or part of an acre. Each dollar you donate, when matched with funds from the Canadian Government, can be as much as $12 to fund the overseas programs of our church partners. A great return on your investment!
