APRIL SHOUTOUT

LET'S TALK ABOUT TRANSFORMATION!

Spring always feels like a transformational time in the year...

Seasons changing, trees flowering, perspectives shifting. This year is no different.

Our family has gone through a number of significant shifts (as I’m sure yours has) over the last two years and it finally feels like we are back to somewhat solid ground.

This is also the month I celebrate my birthday (4/24) and we celebrate Earth day (4/22).

On April 27, I will mark the 8th year without my mom, which is incomprehensible and as I write this we are getting ready to jump on a plane to head back to MN to memorialize my late Grandfather with our family.

So yeah, lots of transformations happening. If there is one thing this life has taught me it’s that I either bend with life or it bends me!  (Thanks Steve Caputo for that awesome quote.)

Whatever transformations you find yourself going through right now, I wish for you a smooth process and a beautiful journey!

Clearing Clutter for Earth Day

Decluttering can be daunting so it takes a bit of determination and, frankly, a good reason. I say Earth Day is a good reason to think about organizing and donating some items that aren't serving you anymore, but may just serve someone else. And in my latest Santa Barbara Independent article, I discuss four places to start: 1) closet, 2) kitchen pantry, 3) garage, and 4) desk drawers. Will you tackle one this weekend? Check out my article for all my tips and tricks. And happy Earth Day!

Two Cool Things to Try
For Self Care

In my world, self-care means taking back some time for myself. There are lots of ways to do this, but these two examples are really effective.

1) Create Your Own MAGIC HOUR.

The first way to actually take time for yourself is to be INTENTIONAL about it! So schedule an hour all for yourself. And yes—make it magical! This means something different for everyone, but when you call it a “magic” hour, it just feels so yummy!

2) Take a Five.

The second is more applicable. With the "Take a Five" tool in place, if you find yourself getting sucked into various rabbit holes on the web (not that I would know anything about that), then you initiate this timer and after 5 minutes, POOF, the tab that you’re on magically goes away.

Client Corner

It goes without saying that when you are a client-focused business as I am, the objective is to provide a service that is useful, supportive, and overall helpful to the end goal.

Hearing sweet sentiments from clients is the cherry on the top. Thanks to this team leader that took the time to say thanks – it means so so much!
