The Omorefe Tribe

APRIL 2021

We are so glad to let you know that we have no cases of COVID on campus!

On March 30th we celebrated Johnbull's birthday with the kids. Since we were still under quarantine we celebrated with social distancing but everyone enjoyed the goodies.

Easter was a huge celebration at CORM as it was the first time we were able to be together in one place in two weeks. We purchased a cow for our Easter meal and the ladies did a great job preparing soup for everyone.

Our first-year Senior High students have been enrolled and started classes a couple of weeks ago.

Michael was allowed to come home for our worship seminar this weekend. It was so good to have him home for the weekend.

It's always hard to say good-bye to the kids when they move away from home to the boarding schools.

Please keep these boys, Sammy, Raphael, and Michael in your prayers as they go through their senior high years.

IMPACT CHANGE

This past weekend we took a team to Hausa Kope for three days. We held women's cycle of life workshops. We were so blessed when the ladies asked if we would be coming back even before our sessions began. Our answer, YES, we are so excited to get to pour into the women of Hausa Kope on a regular basis.

The borehole rig didn't show up to the village to drill the boreholes, but 6 people gave their lives to Christ on Sunday night at the crusade! We are grateful for all the ways that God shows up and reveals His love to the people.

Last night we had a party for the children that are being reunited with their families this week. Some of the children have been with us for two or more years and this transition will be very difficult for them.

Please keep the children and their families in your prayers as they learn how to do life together and remember our community as we say good-bye.

Please pray for the 50,000 children who are living lives of slavery on Lake Volta that they will be rescued and find restoration just as these children have.

Please Pray For Us

  • Dora is still waiting for her school placement. Please keep her in your prayers as she waits.

  • Please keep our university students in your prayers. Rosemary graduates this year and then will begin her National Service.

  • Some of our children will be reintegrated back into their families in the upcoming weeks. Please keep them, their families, and our corm family in your prayers during this time of transition.
