Sacred Heart Catholic High School HEART NEWS | JUNE 2024 |
|
|
Dear Parents/Carers, One of the highlights of the school year, a personal development highlight that is loved by students and staff alike, is our ‘Lip Sync Battle’. And what a battle it has been so far this year! All students and staff who performed and every audience have been absolutely brilliant! In all my years as a teacher I have never known anything bring a school community together as much as this has. It has been the talk of corridors, classrooms and assemblies and we cannot wait for the Grand Lip Sync Final which will take place on Monday 15th July. A huge amount of money has been raised for our chosen local charity St Cuthbert’s Care; we will reveal the final total in July’s Heart News. We have just three weeks left of this academic year and still have our Sacred Heart Feast Day celebrations to look forward to. We are also very proud to be welcoming Bishop Stephen Wright to school on Thursday 18th July to celebrate our Big Mass with all of our Sacred Heart community. Another highlight of July will no doubt be our amazing school production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, a dark comedy which follows the story of a flower shop assistant who raises a man-eating plant! ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ will run for three nights from Tuesday 9th to Thursday 11th July at 6.00pm in our Rose auditorium. Tickets are priced £10 for adults and £6 for children. Please buy your tickets using this link https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/sacredheart and come along to support the show’s cast and crew, knowing you will be in for an excellent night of entertainment! Best wishes, Mrs Howell Headteacher |
