Showing gratitude to our VIP

السلام عليكم

(Peace be unto you)

It's amazing how fast this year has passed! We have so much to look back on and so much more to be grateful for. We couldn't have ended this year on such a positive note without the tireless efforts of our volunteers, the Very Incredible  People in our community. They include our beloved high school students, the aspiring college students, and the benevolent professionals in diverse fields. To each and every one of our volunteers, we send a heartfelt gratitude. You all are truly our VIP.

Thank you for helping us brainstorm the concepts and ideas.

Thank you for putting the concepts & ideas into activities.

Thank you for seeing those activities through.
Thank you for showing up ... always.

Thank you for your tireless efforts.

Shout outs to our after-school club volunteers who show up and help facilitate the club meetings. We salute our summer camp counselors. Hats off to our field day organizers. Many thanks to our partner organizations. And much gratitude to our wellness retreat planners. May you all be rewarded with good. You have all contributed a great deal to our success and The Aafiyah Project is a stronger organization because of you. We do not take for granted your commitment and dedication to the vision to "achieve health equity" and help build a legacy of health and wellness in our community.

The SISTERS' Monthly Hiking Group will continue in the new year. The January (2022) hike will be on Saturday January 15 at 9 am. We will be exploring Little Bennett Regional Park, the largest natural gem of Montgomery County. We plan to hike the Kingsley Trail, a 1.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Clarksburg and an excellent trail for all skill levels. Hiking is limited to 6 females and all hikers must register (please use link above) and abide by current COVID-19 precautions.
