Mindful Viewing

I think we all could use some inspiration right now. I was happy I watched this Ted talk by biologist Paul Stamets (11:37), who is also central to the amazing and beautiful film Fantastic Fungi, In his Ted Talk he shares important and inspirational info about how the often overlooked (and easily accessible) mushrooms and fungi can help our immunity AND the health of our environment (like transforming oil spills and cigaret butts into soil). Watch!

Mindful Reading

The way we practice mindfulness during ordinary times can help us when we encounter the stress of extreme change and living with fear of the unknown. She writes, “I was struck that the focus of my attention could make that much difference ...” We can be inspired by what shares here. Original article and Tricycle Magazine edited version

QUOTE

There is only the relentless, implacable present. And it is only in the present that we can cultivate the mental stability that is required to practice non-preference for the conditions of our lives. If we take such an attitude, no pain can commandeer our lives. - MORE
