Legacy Christian Academy has stepped into our 2nd year! Praise the Lord! We have chosen "Joy" as our theme. The heart of Legacy is to draw God's children into His Word to grow a deeper love for God and others. Just as God told the Israelites in the book of Nehemiah that His Word is meant to bring them joy and that this joy is their strength and stronghold, we are standing on this same promise. We are excited to see how God continues to grow Legacy and we're looking forward to a year of celebrating the joy of the Lord! (Video above: LCA 2023 Fall Family Picnic) Then Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn or weep.” For all the people were weeping when they heard the words of the Law. Then Ezra said to them, “Go [your way], eat the rich festival food, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be worried, for the JOY of the Lord is your strength and your stronghold.” Nehemiah 8:8-10 |

First EVER Legacy Christian Academy 8th Grade Graduation! Pictured above, LCA Board Member, Day Williams delivering the opening prayer at our inaugural 8th Grade Graduation. Although our graduating class was small, we are rejoicing in this small beginning. We graduated two beautiful girls both with humble hearts who love the Lord. What an honor this moment was for Legacy and our graduates. |

From Truth78: Encourage Children to Read the Bible By Jill Nelson The new school year is well underway. If your children are like most kids, their schedules are already packed with tasks and activities—homework, sports practice, music lessons, church programs, friends, family, and more. But what about Bible reading? Are you helping them to prioritize reading the Bible as a daily, beneficial habit? Do you want to be able to say to your children what Paul said to Timothy? |

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:5-7 |
