On April 14th we wrapped up another year for the Clothesline Project. We had many newly decorated t-shirts to display this year and, in addition to Spirit Square, we were also able to hang some at Rose Harbour and our Transitions Thrift Store. Members from the community filtered in throughout the day and took part in decorating their own shirts to hang on the line. We were visited by our local MLA, Michele Babchuck, and the feedback from visitors was positive. Everyone seemed glad to see the Clothesline Project return and many commented on the impact of the shirts. - Emily Smith-Marsh, Safe Home Coordinator
Event Date: Sunday, June 12, 2022 We are thrilled to be back for our 2nd Annual Drive Away Domestic Violence Charity Golf Tournament. The Campbell River and Comox Valley Transition Societies have decided to utilize the information and experience gathered from last year's event and create one in each of our cities.
Transitions Thrift Store just celebrated our 6th anniversary and we are busier than ever thanks to a tremendously dedicated team of volunteers, staff, customers and donors.
We often hear from our customers that we are their “favorite store” and how they love to shop with us. What a way to win us over. We look forward to another exciting year of adventures. - Diane Palmer, Transitions Store Coordinator

A Message from the Executive Director
Welcome to the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society newsletter. One thing Covid has taught us is that there are many ways to connect with each other that are not face to face. This newsletter has come from that understanding and the hope that we will be able to inform you, our supporters and stakeholders, of the wonderful, difficult, chaotic and heat-warming work we do.
We will attempt to keep you up to date with the many changes our agency is going through - particularly the development of our newest facility, Eagle Harbour. Eagle Harbour construction began in February 2022 and completion is anticipated in the fall of 2023. The project is exciting as it will provide 55 new units of housing with support services attached.
Women and children leaving violence will soon have more safe and secure housing options in Campbell River as construction begins on a new 55-unit women's housing project. "This new development will give women and their dependent children leaving abusive situations in Campbell River another safe housing option, where they can find stability, security and access to support services," said Michele Babchuk, MLA for North Island.
