AGM 2020

We are holding our AGM on Saturday 29th May, 10.30AM-12PM on Zoom. Email us on info@youthworkirelandmeath.ie if you would like the link to attend.

We are looking forward to welcoming

Ciara McCormack from Health Focus Ireland who will be giving us tips on how to "Disconnect to Reconnect".

We will also be hearing from

Young People and Volunteers from across

Youth Work Ireland Meath

and of course recognising and celebrating the achievements of a year like no other.

#KEEPWELL Campaign

As part of the national #KeepWell campaign, we are delivering packs full of goodies to young people in our clubs around the county. These packs will aid their physical and mental health and well-being by adding healthy and helpful habits to their daily and weekly routines.

The #KeepWell campaign is brought to you by Healthy Ireland and supported by Meath County Council and Youth Work Ireland Meath.

YouthQuake SDG Work

YouthQuake are keen advocates of the environment and working towards the SDG's to create a fair and just world for all to share.

They have just launched their SDG Pledge on  the Youth Work Ireland Meath website engaging with the public to work towards achieving the goals in a fun and easy way. A simple click of the wheel.

Youth Work Outdoors

At the beginning of May, with the easing of restrictions, we were delighted to get back to some face to face youth work.

Weather dependent, we are able to work with groups of 15 young people outside.

For more information, contact our Youth Workers on the numbers at the bottom of this newsletter.

Facebook Grant Recipient

May also saw us receive the great news that Facebook's Clonee Data Centre continued to recognise our important work in the county and awarded us with a Community Action Grant.

Lightbulb Club

Lightbulb Club meets every Wednesday evening from 5pm - 6PM.

Currently taking place online but with summer holidays around the corner we are looking forward to seeing everyone face to face again in an outdoor setting.

The group is always looking for new members aged 10-12 years to get involved in fun and games, develop social skills, learn new hobbies and all in a creative, safe and encouraging environment.

Meath Comhairle na nOg

Throughout May schools across the county were receiving their Comhairle branded notebooks.

Made from recycled materials, the notebooks are also a Save the Date reminder for Meath Comhairle na nOg's AGM in October.

Student councils and teachers can order their notebooks by contacting peter@youthworkirelandmeath.ie

or through their Meath Comhairle na nOg representative.
