We, the Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence, want to ensure that a free secondary public school (for ages 13 to 19) is available in Sussex County that will provide countless opportunities for students to learn through a community-focused service-learning lens and academic rigor. In our first year, we will admit 125 9-grade and 125 10-grade students and grow a grade-level in the following years. Students will be provided real-world service experiences that will utilize student's knowledge of community needs and challenges and offer them opportunities to navigate and innovate across those spaces successfully. Combined with a rigorous academic curriculum modeled after the International Baccalaureate program, BASSE will offer students a unique chance to explore, achieve, and positively impact their school and their community.
BASSE Mission: To create pathways, through proximity, for our students, their families, and our community
BASSE Vision: To foster critically conscious individuals who are self-empowered leaders and advocates for change in our community
