I hope this year has started out strong and hopeful for you. Last month, I had the opportunity to speak to the SCBiz group about being “Fearless.” I explained my three C's for being fearless: Creativity, Courage, and Community. Within Courage, I specifically spoke on having the courage to fail. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” It takes courage to do the thing you think you cannot. Courage to start something new, to work through the roadblocks, and to find success. Most importantly, it takes courage to fail because, in that failure, you find opportunity—opportunity to create something new, for growth, and the chance to pivot onto a path meant just for you. Do not be influenced into thinking life is going to be easy. I do not believe in coincidences, but I do believe that when you are on the right path, things generally fall into place. There will always be trials and obstacles that will try you in every sort of way. Be courageous in the uncomfortable, and embrace the failures because you are stepping into the incredible unknowns. December's Socks for the Homeless |

Thank you to everyone who donated socks for people experiencing homelessness last month. We collected 600 pairs of socks, 6 beanies, and 5 pairs of gloves and donated them to Hashtag Lunchbag OC's sock drive on December 10th. In all, they were able to collect 2,055 pairs of socks. On that same day, we joined many other volunteers in making 445 lunches. Both the lunches and socks were distributed to shelters and encampments across Orange County. Hashtag Lunchbag OC meets every second Sunday of the month to make lunch bags. All ages are welcome to join. Check out their IG page for more information and to sign up. |
