If you have ever had the thought “I want to feel better” or “I want to have a better life” this message is for you. If you haven’t been able to reflect on this thought, I first encourage you to ask yourself. What does better mean to you? And what will it feel like when you arrive at the better.
Oftentimes we look to external circumstances to make us feel better about our current situation. When we look externally to the outside to feel better, we don’t take the time to feel better ourselves. What helps us feel better from the outside is just temporary.
Feeling better internally is the goal. So, how do you feel better? Here are a few items to reflect on to feel better.
Identify the external source you have been using to feel better
Learn how to FEEL your emotions and sit in them
Be aware of your feelings rather than being reactive
Understand how your thoughts create your feelings
Take emotional responsibility
