Happy Spring, everyone! We have lots to catch you up on at Marigold Collective, and we are back online! Most of February and March our founder, Paula, spent travelling in Mexico, experiencing culture and food and art and.. you guessed it, women's cooperatives. We are excited tell you all about it in our next newsletter, stay tuned!
But first, Mother's Day:
Since 2017, we have held our annual Mother's Day Crowdfunding Event. While these events take a lot of planning, they have been very successful over the years. Success means a lot of different things to different people. For us, it means we were able to gain many new customers and supporters though our friends and customers sharing our campaigns.
Through the Mother's Day Crowdfunding events, we have had the opportunity to share the Marigold Collective story and have raised funds to begin new partnerships with fair trade women's cooperatives in South East Asia.
These projects have helped produce some of our signature products:

This year we are changing it up! Instead of our crowdfunder, we have put together Mother's Day gift baskets (more on those below) and we invite you to visit our online store, or our Vancouver retail studio to view our beautiful handcrafted products made by these artisan groups.
All Mother's Day gift sales contribute toward our engagement with new women's groups - this is how we begin the start of new partnerships!
We have highlighted a few gift ideas below and we have also created a special gift basket with Mom in mind! Although we are generally closed on Saturdays, we are OPEN this Saturday, April 30th and May, 7th from 11am - 5pm for your Mother's Day shopping convenience. We look forward to seeing you there!
