NGPC Round 4 29 Palms, April 10-11. Fast and dusty was the weekends forecast! With the windy and warm temps the track had no chance to be more than poor conditions. All of our riders still had a great outing pushing through the track adversity. We had less than ideal results this weekend, but still in good shape for championship points. Justin Seeds won vet pro, Tyler Lynn had a mechanical forcing him to DNF and Mason Ottersberg had a 3rd turn crash forcing him to work hard from 23rd to 4th place. Ava Silvestri had her first experience with the unique 29 palms course and settled just off 3rd for 4th place and Caitlyn Kurtz put it together to finish 2nd in women's 4 stroke open A. |

Justin took the lead and ran away with it. He rode good the entire race and kept it consistent to the finish. Another valuable day for him in the points. In his words: "NGPC started off well, came out with a second place start after starting on technically the second row because I got there late I was able to make the pass fairly early due to Tilley crashing unfortunately, but I was able to kind of pull away and get comfortable lead and pretty much rode comfortably to the win it was nice to rebound after a couple bad weekends." |

MASON OTTERSBERG 4TH PRO 250 |
Mason put it down in the 3rd turn on the start having to come back from last place(23rd). He fought hard working up to 12th on the first lap and from there earning his 4th place position by the end. Obviously less than ideal, but he salvaged solid points putting him in the fight for a championship still. In his words: "I am happy with my recovery after the start I had. It has been a tuff streak of being off the podium, but my pace was there during the race, just some bad luck. Looking forward to the next round." |

Tyler was running a solid top 5 position early on and suffered some mechanicals forcing him to retire from the race. He is on the right track coming into the middle of the season, just need to get some more luck on our side. In his words: "Solid weekend out in 29 palms California for round 4 of the NGPC series. I felt super comfortable coming into this round but just wasn’t ours for the taking. Had a mechanical failure that put us out of the pro race but still a lot of positives to take home from it. Excited to get back to it in Taft this weekend! Thanks to all that makes it possible!!" |

AVA SILVESTRI 4TH WOMEN'S PRO |
It was Ava's first time in 29 palms and if anyone knows how unique this track is, knows how intimidating it can be. She pushed her comfort zone and was close to finishing on the box, but settled for 4th. Another great round for her as she shows more growth and potential to be successful in her long career she has ahead of her. In her words: "Super fast track this weekend out in 29 Palms. Still trying to get used to all this highspeed stuff which really isn’t my style of racing at all, but I’m still having a lot of fun getting better every race. For me a 4th was all I had this weekend. Was about 20 seconds off 3rd the whole race but couldn’t get myself to push past what pace I was going at. That’s racing and all we can do is look forward to the next round." |

CAITLYN KURTZ 2ND WOMEN'S OPEN A |
Caitlyn rode extremely well during Sundays race. Pushing through the pro section and putting solid laps together to finish 2nd in women's 4 stroke open A. In her words: "I had a mid pack start and a steady race on Saturday and finished 5th in the Women’s Expert class. Sunday I got a great start but crashed in the pro section on the first lap. I got up and going as quick as I could and managed to be steady and consistent the rest of the race, and because of that, I was able to take second in the Women’s Four-Stroke Open A class!" |
