Hello, Members and Guests of the Arkansas Federation of Democratic Women!

We are Democrats.
We support Democrats.
We need MORE Democrats to run for office. Is that Democrat YOU?

You may have heard the announcement earlier in the week that Senator Jim Hendren left the Republican Party to be an Independent. And you may have seen Governor Asa Hutchinson on the news Sunday morning where he said he would not support Trump in 2024. While that is "good news," in the big picture it makes you think - what was the last four or five years about? Did they change any of their stances or did they just realize that a single person is not good for the overall impact of the country?

We need to take action today to ensure those who are in office now don't strip the rights of BIPOC Arkansans, LBGTQ Arkansans, and women in Arkansas. Our action is immediate - not two and four years away.

The Arkansas Legislature returns to Little Rock Monday in full force with a number of #BadBills being heard on the Senate floor and in committees. Read more below about the agenda items of strongest concern.

Please reach out if you have any questions or ideas for how AFDW can work in the community to support Democrats!

Stay strong and safe,

Gracie Ziegler

Behind the Scenes!
We need your help to track bills, organize information, and support the information that needs to be shared.

  • Track Bills - we have a digital log of bills that are filed each week. Can you help by researching a few and adding notes and key points?
  • Organize Data - we're making it easier to contact different committees and groups. Can you help with some data entry work?
  • Share and Create Content - we want to make sure no matter where you are online or not, you can get up to date information from AFDW. We need members to share from our Facebook and Instagram pages to their own pages and groups to help signal boost and amplify.
    • Just click that SHARE button anytime you see new material.
    • Share the information when you're talking to your friends on the phone or safely if you are gathering with friends or family.
  • Register Voters - it's never too early to register to VOTE. Be sure to ask everyone you know if they are registered and ask them to confirm their voter information is still accurate. You can do this by visiting VoterView.
