I've been holding off till December to send this and here it finally is... my Christmas edition of Kneaded News!

I believe the time has come when we can now safely talk about Christmas and all it's silly decorations, awful cracker jokes and mountains of food!

I hope you enjoy the season. I hope it happens relatively easily and calmly for you and you have time to enjoy it.

I hope you don't forget to give yourself some peace and rest at this time.

As with the rest of your year, Christmas should be a time to prioritise yourself and your own care. Recognise if your stress levels are rising or if your body is telling you to slow down on the mince pies. Take time out when you need it, the rest of the holiday will go better for it.

One of the reasons that Christmas can be a difficult time for some is the cost! It can be hard to remember that you really don't need to spend so much to ensure everyone has a good time.

When it comes to gifts sometimes a personal touch is worth much more than an expensive shop bought present. Here are some ideas for  gifts that won't break the bank but will show the other person how special they are to you.

Take a few moments to think about the person you are getting a gift for. Really think about them. What do they mean to you? What memories do you share? Does this lead you to an idea for them - something that they might really appreciate?

The idea I love best is signing up your loved one to a course. Many years ago my sister enrolled me in a creative writing course. I'd never have done it for myself although I loved writing. It was the best present I've ever received.

If this speaks to you have a look here for some ideas. £30 can teach your friend how to make old clothes into cushions!

Don't forget a lot of these gift ideas are a lot better environmentally too! Another good reason to rethink how you give presents this year.

Massage Gift Vouchers

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you know someone who would benefit from a massage, all my treatments are available as gift vouchers.

I recently introduced some 40 minute treatments which cost £30 and make an ideal gift.

Or why not treat a loved one to an indulgent holistic hot stone treatment? A 90 minute treatment is £65 and is the perfect treat for someone special.
