Environmental advocates have filed a new legal challenge against the Pittsburgh-based Mountain Valley Pipeline over the recent approval of its state water permit in Virginia. The Virginia State Water Control Board on Dec. 14 voted 3-2 for the permit, which will allow the 303-mile natural gas pipeline to cross streams and wetlands in parts of six counties in Virginia along its route.
