Dreaming of Warmer Weather

What a cold week it has been!  It hasn't even been warm enough to enjoy the snowy hills at Canyon Camp...  we're dreaming of warmer weather here at Canyon Camp as we look forward to the many flag raisings, campfires, Scout Skills, good eats, and so much more to happen this summer!

Nearly all of our units responded to our early estimate request for this summer- THANK YOU!  We know January (during the ending stages of a pandemic) is a difficult time to estimate how many Scouts you may bring to camp, but it is appreciated as we finalize plans for this summer.  As a reminder, $50/Scout deposits are not due until April.

As of today, our projected attendance for the summer season is still sitting right at the 910 Scouts BSA registrants as of today- we're THRILLED!  We even have our first Webelos/AOL registrants secured as well!

There is much anticipation for our Scouts to get outdoor and enjoy the Spirit of Canyon Camp. If your unit has not yet secured your spot, be sure to register today- Weeks 1, 2, and 4 are now at capacity.  We'd love to have you at camp July 4-10 or July 18-24 for weeks 3 and 5. Learn more and register today at www.canyoncampbsa.org/register.

We have many adventures planned for 2021, and we can't wait to have you join us for them!

Alumni Corner:

2000s Alumni Making Waves

Troop 76 (Fennimore, WI) and Troop 19 (Normal, IL) have much to be proud of.  Their respective troops have had hundreds of Scouts come to Canyon Camp and go on to do many exciting endeavors in life.  This last week, both units have even more to be proud of.

Devon Calvert (T76) was recently announced as the director-elect for a division of the National Are Education Association.  While Adam Nichols (T19- Best You've Seen) celebrated another pinnacle moment
in his professional career as a member of the Big Game's camera crew on Sunday.

We're very proud of each of you!  If someone from your unit has an exciting accolade to share, please do let us know at program.canyon@gmail.com

Stewards Update

The "Stewards of Canyon Camp"  draft patch designs are in!    We're excited to share these with you as we lead into our first ever Leadership Council meeting on March 1.  Supporters who have given in excess of $1,000 to Canyon Camp will be voting on how the total funds given to date will be allocated.  How neat is that?!

How much have we raised thus far...  we will tell you after the March 1 meeting.  Get excited!

Click below to learn more about giving to Canyon Camp.  Your gift today builds upon the strong foundation of Camp and its ability to serve young people long into the future.    If you'd like to give for the 2021 year, please consider making your gift today to be counted leading into the 2021 camping season.
