#disiplineGOALS!

Hello, friends!

I'm sure as it has with you as well, this year has kicked off with a lot of NEW!

(Sorry, the rhyme was unintentional.)

New dreams for where to perform the shows  both around and away from Nashville...

New headshots (see below)...

And a "new" office (we re-arranged and re-organized so now I feel like I can finally breathe and work in there!) I love the window nook above and have been using it often to sit and read, or post on Instagram...

Which is another NEW thing, and good grief, is there a lot to learn about it!

I'm trying to enjoy the process, not strive to look perfect, and post what I'm learning as I learn it. Please hop on and tell me "hi" if you use it!

SO, DISCIPLINE GOALS!

I've started a new morning routine, that kicks off with an old habit I let fall by the wayside...journaling first thing to dump the thoughts OUT.

This is practice - termed by some creatives as "Morning Pages," -  is not intended to make your writing into works of fiction or the next bestseller; that's the beautiful thing about it. It's just a tool to help clean out the brain so you can move refreshed into the day.

It's been a couple weeks now that I've been back into 15 minute morning pages, and it's been so helpful. I've realized I NEED to pause in the morning before jumping into action to wake up my heart and mind even before I take time to read Scripture and pray.

Say hi on Insta!

So if you feel frantic in the morning, or if your brain is so busy that it wakes you up at 3 am, like it's been doing to me lately...*ahem, GO TO SLEEP, BRAIN!* give morning pages a try and let me know what you think!

As you can see above, I've been using my Remarkable to write my morning pages, and I'm still loving this piece of tech.

Just for funzies, if you're a paper person, you gotta check it out. If you decide you want to invest, put my name in the check out and you'll get $100 off. :)

It's Showtime!

Please help me fill up the calendar for 2019!

Is your church interested in a special show during the Easter and Lent season? Mary's Easter Account- Pierced and Perfected is just 30 minutes and would be a perfect fit!

Looking for a full Sunday service or evening of entertainment and Old Testament exploration? Last Nights of the King is the show for you!

Are you a super-planner already penciling in Christmas events? You don't want to miss Mary: A Star is Born!

Just add a little food and you have a stellar event that will start conversations and inspire your congregation to dig deeper into the Bible.

And...Headshots!

Many thanks to Barb Jones Photography for these new shots! Capturing a great headshot is a high calling- in one instant a casting director needs to look at your face and see your personality, essence, and secrets...and the whole picture of course needs to look good. I'm so pleased with her work and hopeful these shots will help get bookings!

Thanks for all your support and encouragement in this adventure! Till next month!

With love,

Katie
