Hello, friends!
I'm sure as it has with you as well, this year has kicked off with a lot of NEW!
(Sorry, the rhyme was unintentional.)
New dreams for where to perform the shows both around and away from Nashville...
New headshots (see below)...
And a "new" office (we re-arranged and re-organized so now I feel like I can finally breathe and work in there!) I love the window nook above and have been using it often to sit and read, or post on Instagram...
Which is another NEW thing, and good grief, is there a lot to learn about it!
I'm trying to enjoy the process, not strive to look perfect, and post what I'm learning as I learn it. Please hop on and tell me "hi" if you use it!
SO, DISCIPLINE GOALS!
I've started a new morning routine, that kicks off with an old habit I let fall by the wayside...journaling first thing to dump the thoughts OUT.
This is practice - termed by some creatives as "Morning Pages," - is not intended to make your writing into works of fiction or the next bestseller; that's the beautiful thing about it. It's just a tool to help clean out the brain so you can move refreshed into the day.
It's been a couple weeks now that I've been back into 15 minute morning pages, and it's been so helpful. I've realized I NEED to pause in the morning before jumping into action to wake up my heart and mind even before I take time to read Scripture and pray.
