Hello there!

Just a wee note to let you know what I have been up to since my last newsletter and to let you know about all my exciting future events for December.

Let's see, what have I been doing? Well I was invited to do a bit of live drawing at the new V & A's first ever Tay Late event. I was stationed around the museum drawing items from the collections that inspired me throughout the evening. It was so much fun and just so inspiring! The exhibitions are fantastic and the building is just breathtaking-the way it compliments the Tay and our beautiful Dundee skies is nothing short of pure architectural magic. I highly recommend a visit.

Forest Adventures

It is now just over a year since I began my daily meditative walks in the woods with my dog Leia. Every day I've been really studying the Scottish woodland, photographing this special place as the seasons come and go. I exhibited the results earlier this year at Pittenweem, but I realised although I had made a lot of work from paintings, drawings, embroideries and even ceramics, I was only skimming the surface. After a bit of reflection time I feel like I am getting somewhere finally! I've started to draw in the woods now and I am very excited by my graphite trees below. This is my unique drawing style coming through and as long as it's taken me to get here every walk has been worth it. It's not always easy to get out, with health issues hindering me, but when I do I feel amazing afterwards. It's very true that nature is healing. I'll have these drawings below and prints on sale at WASPS this weekend, but if one catches your eye and you cannot wait give me shout for prices.

If you're after a lovely gift shopping experience this year there are plenty great shopping events in Dundee, Fife and Perthshire I'll be exhibiting at this year. This Saturday is Forgan Arts Centre's Christmas Tutor Exhibition. I teach my Drawing and Wire Sculpture Classes there. If you want to find out more pop along between 11 and 4pm. Our much anticipated WASPS Christmas Market is THIS WEEKEND. On Sunday we will have over 30 well known Dundee exhibitors, included some invited non waspie guests. which has the tastiest beer ever! Then onto Tea Green Festive Market, Fife at the Bowhouse for Saturday 8th december only and my final market of the year will be Dundee Urban Market on Saturday 15th December. Phew! Hope to see you!
