Spring has finally sprung and the season is here in ernest.  It was great to see so many Newport Harriers competing at the East Regional Championships at the weekend. Lots of smiles and fun, great to see so many coaches there too supporting all.

NEWPORT HARRIERS WE ROCK :)

It's brilliant to see so many new faces competing in all the teams and leagues below.  Performences early on have been encouraging. With some of the older teams it can be especially difficult to fill all the places with exams but if you can take some time out to compete and have fun with your teammates I can assure you you won't be disappointed!

Checkout all the ways you can be 'Part of the Team' at Newport Harriers in 2018 and put yourself forward for one of our many team competitions. Contact the relevant team managers to join in the fun! Remember you must be up to date with your membership payments if you wish to compete as we now have to re-register athletes.

We are going for promotion this year across all teams and need to put out a full team if we are to achieve this. If we can ask all athletes to enter an event they are not normally focused on as well as their main event, it will help us to gain the points we need to do this!

Join Hour Club Newport Harriers....

Thanks to those that have joined already. We still have places left so don't be shy!

Can you spare just 1 hour to volunteer for your club in 2018.  We have over 500 members so imagine if we all just gave 1 hour of our time to help. 

Whether you are a member or parent please pledge here and offer your time to help support our great club. We do have a great team of volunteers however they are a dedicated team and small in number if big in heart.

Think what we could do with an extra 500 volunteer hours.  Don't worry we won't ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with and we will always support new volunteers so why not pledge your gift of time and email us your details.

We will contact you and keep you on our list of volunteers and let you know as and when we have opportunities that need filling and you can let us know if you are available

The real midweek news was the U15/U17 District Schools competitions. County schools is divided into 4 regions - Newport East, Newport West, Islwyn, Blaenau Gwent.
