Theatre of Dare has started the process of choosing next season's productions, and this year we want YOU to help us choose one of them! Read on to find out about that and all of our upcoming events...

CHOOSE A SHOW FOR OUR 33RD SEASON

As we get into the second half of our current season, the time has come to pick the shows that will grace our stage in 2023-24. This year, we're letting our audience pick one of those shows through our People's Choice ballot! We've been asking for suggestions since December, and now we're down to the Final Five. Click here to read descriptions of those plays and vote for one, and the winner will be performed sometime next season. But hurry! The deadline for voting is Wednesday, February 15.  

A BUSY FEBRUARY

They say that February is a slow time of the year on the Outer Banks... but not for us! We've got a lot going on this month, starting tomorrow (Feb. 2), when Dare Arts joins with Theatre of Dare to bring in the Mended Wing Theatre Company for an abridged, 75-minute version of Shakespeare's famous tragedy, Hamlet. Then, on Feb. 12, we're staging an afternoon of music and theatre in a fundraising event for Gentle Expert Memorycare (GEM) and Theatre of Dare. Tickets for both events are now available in our online box office... or at the door!

FINAL AUDITIONS OF THE SEASON COMING UP FEB. 24 & 25

Time flies when you're having fun, and believe it or not, auditions for our final production of the 2022-2023 season are coming up fast! If you've always wanted to play the Red Queen, the Wicked Witch, the Cowardly Lion or other famous storybook characters, this is your chance. We'll be holding open auditions for the fun-filled, family-friendly Wizard of Wonderland Feb. 24 & 25 from 6-9 p.m. at the theater, and there are roles for 4 women, 1 man, and 6 characters that are gender neutral. Check out the list of roles available and come show us what you've got! Show dates are April 28-May 7.
