It is indeed April 2nd. I may be off by a day, I just wanted to say April Fools...

Happy Newsletter Friday! Welcome to those of you who are reading this for the first time and welcome back to those returning!

THE POLL RESULTS:

The poll is back! A month later we get to finally find out why Chelsea (my lil sis) is not subscribed to the newsletter! There were a lot of options but some insightful answers.

Apparently, most of y'all think she got lost in the woods! Chelsea, if you can hear or read this, I HOPE YOU FIND YOUR WAY OUT!! I hope she read Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer because there is useful information in there....

IN THE HEADLINES:

Are you tired of all the constant headlines popping up on your phones? Does the news sometimes ruin the day? Here is a place where you can find uplifting, fun, and good news from people in our own community. Keep looking to your own life headlines for a smile!

Featured Headlines:

  • "I am fully vaccinated!"
    • Alex - NJ

  • "My brother came to visit me!"
    • Chelsea - NY

I am fully vaccinated and I got vaccinated for myself and others! If you can, get vaccinated! Chelsea, what an awesome brother you have. Finally, CONGRATS ERIN! We are all so proud of you!

Our news might be small but, it was good news! Want to be featured "In the Headlines"? Share your breaking news here to have the chance to be in the next newsletter!

OTHER NEWS:

I know you are wondering what race I was running in that picture above. It was actually the first-ever Frisch Family Half Marathon! It took place on April 4th, 2020 and it was an event that didn't get canceled at the beginning of COVID! It is wild that it was a year ago but, it is still something to celebrate because we will always find creative and safe ways to have fun. Keep going and looking for ways to have fun. Check out the full story here.

SPRING IS HERE! I for one am beyond excited that spring has arrived and I welcome it with a full heart, allergies and all. The sun is out later, the weather is nicer, and we can spend time together with friends, family, and loved ones outside once again. It might feel like the end of the pandemic is near but, it is important to remember that it isn't over yet. We still have to do our part and take care of one another. When we reach the end, it will be oh so sweet!

Thank you for reading this and if this brought a smile to your day, feel free to forward it on and spread the cheer!

'Til next time,

...alex is out

Snagging Wi-Fi or a Mentor

According to the dictionary, a mentor is an experienced or trusted advisor. I was someone who always overthought how someone becomes a mentor. I did because I was looking for a strong personal bond that was developed over time. I thought a mentor becomes a mentor over a long period of time with a developed relationship.
