Safe. Smart. But Still Glamorous.

 

The time is finally here!  We are now open by appointment to our clients for limited salon services beginning Tuesday, June 2nd!! 

 

While things may look and feel a bit different, what has not changed is our promise to provide you high end quality service in a safe and friendly environment. We must all do our part to make sure we launch in to the first phase of our salon re-opening as safely as possible.  We have been working around the clock to keep our clients and our staff safe.  Each staff member has completed Barbicide Covid-19 sanitation courses and the entire salon is Barbicide certified! Along with the New York State regulations we have always followed, we will now implement the additional New York State and CDC guidelines and recommendations.  

 

Some temporary changes you may notice during phase one of our re-opening include:

  • No food or refreshments
  • No touch zones, for example retail products. But don’t worry! A Glam Team member will get them for you.
  • Your stylist will be sporting some stylish PPE
  • Furniture will be removed from our waiting area
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the salon
  • Social distancing between stations

 

In order to follow New York State guidelines and industry best practices, we will be opening on a reduced work schedule by appointment only and limiting the services being offered at this time. Here are the current restrictions on services:

  • All nail services
  • Beard & nose trimming
  • Facials
  • Makeup applications
  • Waxing
  • Lash Extensions
  • Limited blow dry/styling
  • Limited hair washing

 

Our stylists are working to reschedule appointments from March-May so please be patient with them. Once those appointments are scheduled they will open their books for their clientele. Keep in mind they are only able to provide services to a small number of clients per day under the new capacity guidelines and will not be able to “squeeze in” anyone.  They are all doing their best to get to everyone as quickly as possible.

 

Once you have your appointment scheduled you will receive an appointment confirmation with instructions on signing our new Covid-19 Client Waiver to provide services.  This must be filled out within a 24 hour window of your appointment. We can not provide services to anyone who has not completed the waiver.  Once you sign the waiver it should be returned to sgsscovid19@gmail.com.

 

When you get to the salon for your appointment you will need to call your stylist or the salon from your car to let them know you are here.  They will either tell you to come in or ask you to wait and call you back when you may enter.  Please come alone.  At this time we are requesting that you do not bring children or any other guests.   Any child under the age of ten with an appointment may be escorted by one adult.  We also ask that you bring in minimal belongings and no food or drink as you will be required to be masked during your entire appointment.

 

Before you enter the salon you must put on your mask!  This is a requirement to receive services. We recommend you wear a mask that loops around your ears and not your head.  If you are receiving a color treatment we discourage wearing a mask you do not want ruined.

 

Once you enter the salon, please stop before the front desk and wait to be greeted by your stylist or receptionist. You will be asked to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds at one of our approved sinks. If your service requires a shampoo we ask that you treat it as a quiet zone.  Clients and stylists are in close proximity during shampooing and this will help reduce the chance of spreading particles.

 

Your stylist may have asked you to prepay for your services. If you have not prepaid, a touchless method of payment should be used when possible.  Your stylist will retrieve your products, re-book appointments, and take your payment right at their station.  Once your appointment is finished you will be asked to immediately leave the salon so sanitation can begin on your stylist’s station before their next client.

 

We know this is a lot to digest but please keep in mind this is only temporary.  We will do our best to make sure your time here is still enjoyable and healing.  All of this information along with NYS and CDC guidelines can be found on our website at www.simplyglamoroussalonandspa.com/covid-19.
