June Full Moon Yoga:Mead Moon

Sagittarius is the Visionary, the Truth Teller, the Seeker. This full moon underlines the archetypal Quest, and the first steps taken on the hero's journey. This Moon coincides with the lunar eclipse and is a good time to step out of our comfort zones and expand the boundaries of what is possible in our lives. It is time to remove the expectations of others and to envision a world of adventure, learning and exploration. Clarify your goals and let the arrow find its mark. This is a great time to work magick for rejecting the confines of the patriarchy.

 

With the Summer Solstice approaching, this is a great opportunity to shed the old and help bring in the new. This is a great time to refocus your goals and strengths, to help and see those around you. Allow yourself this chance to hear what is around you.

 

Correspondences

Nature Spirits: sylphs, zephyrs

Herbs: skullcap, meadowsweet, vervain, tansy, dog grass, parsley, mosses

Colors: orange, golden-green

Flowers: lavender, orchid, yarrow

Scents: lily of the valley, lavender

Stones: topaz, agate, alexandite, fluorite

Anointing oil blend

Anointing oil blend (this can be used as a wearable scent):

5 drops Jasmine oil

3 drops Mint oil

4 drops of Lavender oil 

If you plan on wearing the scent add:

¼ ounce alcohol

1 ounce distilled water (Moon or Sun water works too)

 

Monthly Recipe: Lavender Lemonaide

This month is the month of Power, and what better way to reenergize yourself then with a fresh glass of lemonaide

Lavender Lemonade:

2 cup Boiling water

1 cup Lavender Flowers

2 cup Cold Water (Use charged Moon or Sun water)

1 cup Lemon Juice

1 cup Sugar ( can also use the violet simple syrup from last month)

 

Place the lavender in a pitcher; pour the boiling water over the lavender; cover with plastic wrap and allow to steep 10 minutes; strain and discard the lavender from the water and return the water to the pitcher. Add the cold water, lemon juice, and sugar to the pitcher and stir until the sugar dissolves. Refrigerate until serving.
