Meal Deals and Food Offers 

The Ceylon Curry Club in the Old Dutch Hospital offer a Curry in a Hurry lunch with a choice of three curries, sides including rice, dahl and more, a dessert and a mocktail for Rs1650. It's available from Monday to Friday, from 12.00p to 3.00pm.

Crab fans, mark Tuesdays in your diary because The Galadari have launched "All About Crab", a dinner which is, well, all about crab. On offer are western and Asian dishes. It's an a la carte menu and includes a nice selection of soups, starters and mains. From 7.00pm to 11.00pm at the Galadari Coffee Shop.

Next week, Botanik is hosting a "Taste" dinner, with ingredients from around the island. It features 11 tasting plates and cocktail & wine pairings. This special dinner is on 21 January and is priced at Rs17,000.

For the night owls among us, there is now another 24 hour cafe, located at the Hotel MaRadha, open 24/7 for those late-night munchies or an early breakfast, They are also offering a 24% discount until 16 January.

Dim Sum lovers, Crystal Jade is offering the "Ultimate Dim Sum" deal with a choice of five different dim sum for Rs4,800. There's seven to choose from and each comes with three pieces. Offer valid on weekdays, until further notice.

And is there anyone who would say no to some free pizza? On Wednesdays, Ryan's are currently offering a free personal pan pizza when you buy any large pizza.

Drinks Deals

There's a new Happy Hour cocktails offer at Bro Pub. Choose from a choice of five cocktails and enjoy a buy one get one free every day from 4pm to 6pm.

The cool new Bonobo Bar at Sanctuarii has buy one get one free offer on selected cocktails on Thursday evenings, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

And there's another cocktails offer on Wednesdays at Zen Colombo where you can enjoy buy one get one free on selected cocktails from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

And also on Wednesdays, there's a new Ladies' Night at 7 Degrees, where ladies can enjoy free cocktails, with live music, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and 10% off the bill after 8.00pm. 

Live Music and DJs

If you were planning to go to the Winterscape concert this Friday, that has been postponed. But Sangeera which was originally scheduled last month is happening instead this Friday 13th January, featuring ten performers and Point5 and there are tickets available.

Also this Friday, you can catch Sarith, Surith & The News at a masquerade ball at the Marino Beach Hotel, from 6.00pm.

On Saturday, Aluth Kalawak again brings ten performers on stage including one who will be revealed only on the night. They will be backed by MidLane and the show is at Viharamahadevi Park, 6.30pm.

Next week on Saturday, "Footloose" features four performers with The Marians at Arcade from 7.30pm. Meanwhile over at Lotus Tower, BNS will be on with Umaria and Randhir backed by 2Forty2. And on Sunday, three performers will be on stage at Musaeus College backed by the Warehouse Project.

And a heads up that the week after, Stigmata will be performing their first gig of the year on Saturday 28 January at Darley Road, more details to follow.

On to EDM And this Saturday Maya 3.0 Provocation takes place at Port City from 6pm with Stereo Underground plus nine support DJs. The event continues on Sunday daytime with an after party also at Port City, from 7am to sunset.

Also on Saturday, The Pirates at Virticle features guest DJ Avantika and nine local DJs, from 3.00pm.

And next week, "Gandharua" features guest DJs Rocco Lazzaro and Self & Other, with 8 support DJs at Zouk, from 6.00pm.

Other Events

There's a new Karaoke Night on Thursdays at Kava Bar, launching this Thursday 12th, from 7.00pm to 11.00pm.

Gallery Fourlife hold Art Workshops every weekend for adults and for kids. These are from 10.00am to 12.00pm and from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

And looking ahead to next week, there's a new Salsa Night on Tuesdays at Foor by O, with Bachata and Salsa lessons from 6.30pm followed by dancing from 8.30pm.

There's also a new Beginners' Yoga class, for ladies only, at Turf Colombo every Wednesday at 10.00am.

And on 21st January, Colombo Comedy Central have a Standup Comedy Night at The Warehouse at 7.00pm. We are told that it will be mainly in Sinhala.
